Welcome to Year 10 Sports Studies
This course provides students with the opportunity to explore Sport and improve skills. The course will have a practical base but also include some theory work. The focus will be on:
- Developing a wide skill base
- Keeping fit and healthy
- Physical conditioning in general and specific to your chosen sport
- Coaching of peers
- Looking at ideas which support your skills and fitness, eg. sports nutrition
Places in this course are likely to be limited and preference will be given to students who have previously demonstrated a commitment to sport.
