Choosing the FOUR options in year 9 - 2012

Each of the four options is for Five hours a fortnight for one semester (two terms). Students complete four options in Year 9. Two options are completed in Semester 1 (Terms 1 and 2), and the other two are completed in Semester 2 (Terms 3 and 4).

In choosing the options for 2012 students and parents are reminded that Year 9 is a time for choice and opportunity. Much of the overall learning programme is covered in the compulsory subjects and compulsory modules listed above.

We are keen to encourage our Year 9 students to continue to have as much breadth as possible in their learning, including continuing to follow interests in their option choice courses which could lead them towards potential leisure areas.

Optional Choices in Year 10 - 2012

In addition to the compulsory subjects students choose three options. Each of these options is studied for five one-hour periods a fortnight for the entire year.

We are keen to encourage our Year 10 students to continue to have as much breadth as possible in their learning, including continuing to follow interests in their option choice courses which could lead them towards potential leisure areas.
