Kavanagh Sport
The role of sport, here at Kavanagh College, is seen as a key ingredient to the success and personal development of its students. Whether students are in a team or individual sport there are many benefits for the student. Through sport Kavanagh students have the ability to set goals and work towards achieving them, create new bonds with others and develop a range of personal skills
Kavanagh has an excellent range of sports on offer to its students and is lucky to have such a supportive sporting community with staff, parents and students all involved in coaching, assisting and managing roles. Our proud sporting community has seen Kavanagh students achieving some outstanding results this year .Zoe McBride and Hannah Duggan were crowned New Zealand rowing Doubles Champions at the Maadi cup earlier in the year. Also in the inaugural Co-Ed schools tournament held on the 7th of July 2011 in Dunedin, Kavanagh won the Dennis Slowley Cup (the overall winning school).
