Kavanagh College has a rich production history. Every year since we have begun we have had a musical extravaganza.   Each year we have a major production with multiple performances to the wider community.  Some examples include; Godspell, (1994, 2004), The Boyfriend, (1993, 2007), Les Miserables, (2005), Jesus Christ Superstar, (2001, 2010), Grease, (2011). These shows and much more have been successfully directed and produced at Kavanagh College since 1989.

To celebrate Kavanagh's twenty-five years of Major Productions, Directors; Pauline Meinung, Chris Manley, Catherine Cameron. Musical Director, Georgie Watts and Technical Director, Hamish Edh, produced "A Dream To Share" an extravaganza of musical theatre.

Adding to the spectacle the Directors invited back the stars from previous shows to combine with present Kavanagh students to sing and dance their favourite toe-tapping tunes. Songs from “Cabaret”, “Disco Inferno”, “Footloose”, “West Side Story” and much, much more, captivated the audience night after night in July 2014.

One of the outstanding results of our Performances throughout the history of Kavanagh is the significant number of ex-pupils that return to assist the College and who have gone on to make successful careers from the performing arts.  This is due to the expertise and dedication of all staff involved.

The 2017 production of Bugsy Malone directed by Bert Nisbet followed the recent and successful directing tradition of Oliver (2015) and the Wizard of Oz (2016).  We pride ourselves in being an all-comers performance from the Orchestra through to the technical crew.
