Course Outline
The aim of the course is to solve problems in Physics context using appropriate methods, formulae and knowledge of theory. Topics studied include:
Mechanics - Linear, circular, rotational and simple harmonic motion
Wave motion - including the physics of musical instruments
Electromagnetism - including AC and DC electricity
Modern Physics - including the photoelectric effect and nuclear reactions
As well as this, students conduct a practical investigation into non-linear relationships.

AS 91521 - Carry out a practical investigation to test a physics theory relating two variables in a non-linear relationship 4 credits
AS 91525 - Demonstrate understanding of modern physics 3 credits
