Michele Rodger

Kia Ora

I’m Michele Rodger and it’s good to be back! Although it’s been many years since I’ve climbed these stairs I am enjoying the feeling of familiarity mixed with freshness.

I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to lead the Te Tīmatanga learning programme and am inspired by the integrated approach to learning. I am a Year 8 kaiārahi and Integrated Studies teacher.

For most of my career I have taught and led junior school learning programmes in Y7-13 Colleges; 17 years in Dunedin. Before this my main career was curating, researching and educating within Museum settings. I also worked a variety of jobs while exploring the world and living overseas.

When I’m away from school my favourite times are spent with family, Andy, Ruby (8) and Billy (6) and friends. I also enjoy semi-competitive volleyball, social netball, walking, biking, reading, film and a bit of gardening on the side. I enjoy keeping busy and always have a project on the go.

I have been blown away by the warmth and generosity of spirit that people have welcomed me with. I look forward to meeting more of you in the future.
