Jayden Apuwai-Bishop Ngāti Pōrou, Ngai Tūhoe, Whakatōhea

In January next year, Year 11 student Jayden will be travelling to Finland as part of the New Zealand U21 Men's Curling team to compete in the World Championships. He is a fantastic mathematician who is excelling at Level 2 Extension Mathematics. Jayden is also a kind and thoughtful young man who thoroughly deserves this award. Ngā mihi nui, Jayden.

Masin Kewene-Masina - Waikato, Ngāti Maniapoto

Masin is a talented musician who can captivate an audience with his soulful voice as witnessed last night at the Cultural Awards. He delivered a powerful performance and left the crowd gagging for more! Masin has given a huge amount to The Arts at Kavanagh College. He and Aliyah Tautuhi-Fraser were our inspirational Year 7 & 8 kapa haka tutors this year that performed so beautifully at PolyFest a few weeks ago. Ngā mihi nui, Masin.
