Ngā Manu Kōrero Speech Competition

We are seeking rangatahi, who are speech makers and agitators for Ngā Manu Kōrero speech competition. If you are of Māori descent you can enter either the Te Reo Māori or English speaking sections of this competition. If you are Pasifika, Tauiwi or Pākehā you can enter the Te Reo Māori speaking section of this competition.

Please find attached the confirmed Ngā Manu Kōrero topics for 2022. These topics will be used for our Ōtākou/ Murihiku competition which will be held in Invercargill on Thursday 16th June-Friday 17th June, as well as for the national online competition in September.

Junior speakers (Year 9 -10) in both the English and Te Reo Māori sections will present a prepared speech only. Whereas senior speakers (Years 11- 13) in both sections will present both a prepared and an impromptu speech.
