Hockey team richly deserves first win of season

All the hard work has finally paid off for our mixed hockey team . The team made up of mainly First XI Girls, with a couple of Junior Boys, has had their first win of the season.
Finally a win! Richly deserved and a season in the making, the team had a win. Every member of the team played a part in an effort that saw attackers defending, defenders attacking and Keyra saving goals.
Laura Flett played a dominant captain's game sending long balls through that put us hot on attack several times. We won a penalty corner and Laura had a shot, it was partially blocked but then trickled over the line.
More attacks saw us coming close again but we couldn't quite convert. Logan Park High School then counter attacked but rock solid defence saw the girls hold out for a 1-0 victory.
