Boys Football First XI defeated in Final 

Kavanagh College First XI Football Team were defeated 3-1 by Otago Boys High School First XI in the final of the secondary school boys final at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. 

Nil all at half- time meant the boys were right in the match but unfortunately, some sloppy defending allowed OBHS to take the lead. We hit straight back with a Max Johnston free kick to lock up the scores 1-1. From there it took an absolute screamer of a goal by OBHS from at least 30m to take the lead 2-1, this seemed to deflate our boys and we conceded a late goal to lose 3-1. 

The boys can be proud of their season and now look forward to the tournament in Dunedin.
