Tournament Week Success For Kavanagh College

Tournament week has now concluded and I can report back some very pleasing results from our teams
The Senior A Netball team travelled to Nelson and finished 10th out of 32 teams in the B grade, losing a couple of close games that probably cost them from finishing higher.
The Mixed Hockey team made the semi-finals and ended up 4th losing their 3rd and 4th playoff game in Blenheim, they can be very proud of their efforts.
The Boys First XI Football team came 7th out of 20 teams in the Linwood Cup beating James Hargest 4-1 in the 7th -8th play off game.
The Girls First XI Football team had an outstanding tournament making it through to the final and losing 1-0 to Mount Aspiring, awesome effort girls.
The Boys and Girls Basketball teams travelled to Greymouth for their respective tournaments and the Girls came away as champions, while the Boys finished 5th meaning both teams qualified for nationals in Palmerston North in late September.
