Seng Ngamvuttiban, Thailand, Year 12

When I first came to NZ, I was 11 years old. I was a young nervous boy and I didn’t know how to speak English.

In the time since I was in Year 7, I have changed host families, but that was OK.

One of my memories was Year 9 Beach Day, we went to the beach, went for a swim and Mr Dougherty cooked us a BBQ for lunch. We had so much fun and it was a wonderful day that I still remember.

Many years after that, I found myself in year 12 and had changed a lot. Now I can speak English and understand more than before. During this time, I have made many new friends, some of them went back to their countries and some were here. This is now my last year at Kavanagh and I need to get 60 Level Two credits to carry on to university in my own country.

I love you all and hope that I will see you all again
