Freezer Needed

By Kavanagh PFA | Posted: Wednesday February 26, 2020

The Kavanagh PFA (Parents & Friends Association) is wanting to increase its pastoral care focus, including being able to provide physical support to families in our school community who are going through a difficult time.

In order to be able to have prepared meals on hand ready for whenever the need arises, we’re looking to set up a freezer at school which we will keep stocked with food.

If there’s anyone who has a freezer (chest or upright) in good working order that they no longer need and would be willing to donate to the school for this purpose, we would be very keen to hear from you. Please contact Martina on afk.mmf@xtra.co.nz

If we can’t get a secondhand freezer donated, then the PFA will look at purchasing one.

Once we have a freezer sorted and some other processes in place, we’ll be asking families for donations for our pastoral care programme – meals and other food that can be stored in the freezer, supermarket vouchers, cash donations (which we can use for things such as school canteen vouchers), etc.

Many thanks for your support.
