Tomorrow, 200+ primary and intermediate student from our Dunedin Catholic schools will be playing in the inaugural Kāhui Āko rippa rugby tournament

Students from Kavanagh College, St Bernadette's, St Brigid's, St Francis Xavier, St Joseph's Cathedral, St Mary's Mosgiel and St Peter Chanel will be playing rippa rugby at Shark Park tomorrow.

This tournament is a joint venture by Kavanagh College and Dunedin Junior Rugby Club. The objective of this event is "for as many of our Catholic kids as possible to come together and have a fun day out playing rippa rugby".

There are three grades: Year 3&4, Year 5&6 and Year 7&8 with 11 fields running at the same time for six rounds. Finals are at 1.30pm on the hallowed turf - Kettle Park No.1, and there is even a complimentary sausage sizzle provided by the hosts!

Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend this all day event at Kettle Park, Moana Rua Road, St Kilda. A big thank you to the organising team and student referees from Kavanagh College.
