The students have formed “flatting” groups and each group has competed a Residential Tenancy Agreement and Bond Lodgement Form for a property they selected from Trademe.
They are enjoying learning about the realities of flatting including making a cleaning roster, cooking roster, flat rules and how to deal with potential issues.
Today the students visited The Warehouse and Harvey Norman to research prices of household items suitable for their flats. Their next step is to calculate the cost of electricity, internet and food expenses.
Hopefully, each group will develop an understanding and appreciation of the flatting process.
