Daily Reflection: John 13:16

From today's Scripture - Jesus said "I tell you most solemnly, no servant is greater than his master, no messenger is greater than the one who sent him".
Reflection: Jesus is reminding his followers that his message comes from God the creator. This passage comes straight after he has washed the feet of his disciples. Why do you think he says the first part of the sentence?
