"Grease" Update

By Katrina Kerr-Bell | Posted: Friday August 21, 2020

Covid-19 Level 2 restrictions have impacted on the Kavanagh College Performance of Grease - performances are now Wednesday 6pm, Thursday 6pm, Friday 7pm, Saturday 2pm and Saturday 7pm

"Event facilities, including cinemas, stadiums, concert venues and casinos can have more than 100 people at a time, provided that there are no more than 100 in a defined space, and the groups do not mix." The great news is that students and staff who are supporting and in the show do not count in the 100 numbers – it is the parents and caregivers and other community attendees in the audience, who need to be counted. So 100 members of an audience at a maximum keeping 1m from people you don’t know. Also, keep a contact tracing register for all attendees."

Sadly with these restrictions, we will need to cancel all tickets for Grease and start again. To be fair the cast will have the first option on a limited number of tickets. We can refund tickets however please be patient as this may take time due to staffing. Details of how to do this will be posted and sent out as soon as we can. When rebooking tickets we can transfer the payment from one to the other.

All tickets need to be reordered. NO tickets will be carried over! Although this is not ideal at least we can proceed. The cast and staff are as sad by this news as anyone, we appreciate the kind messages and continued support. Please continue to be kind, take care and pray that there is a way out of this.

Our shows are now -

Wednesday 6pm

Thursday 6pm

Friday 7pm

Saturday 2pm

Saturday 7pm

Preference will be given to the cast and their whanau, remaining tickets will be on sale online from Wednesday. NO tickets will be carried over!
