Kavanagh College First XV

The 1st XV have just completed a training camp out at Camp Waiora

This was facilitated by the coaches, management and a parent helper. There was excellent support from the school and wider community also.

The aim of the camp was an opportunity for the boys to bond, get to know each other as well as their coaches and improve on fitness, skills and game knowledge.

The Friday started off with goal setting from Pete Gallagher which enabled the boys to gain insight into themselves and the year ahead. The next day we had the pleasure of Fletcher Smith from the Highlanders helping our boys and coaches with skills and set moves.

Over the weekend Jax our head coach had the boys constantly involved and engaged with activities inside and out, with the help of Ricci and Sefo, our backs coaches. We were blessed with amazing weather which added to a brilliant weekend.

It was a pleasure watching the boys and coaches over the weekend. With a clear focus and a positive mind set the boys are ready for a great season.
