Year 13 student Brigid Corson will return next week from the USA where she was invited to play for Summit High (Breckenridge, Colorado) in the Las Vegas Invitational Sevens competition

Previously, in 2015-16, she attended Summit and got involved with their women's rugby program.

Summit has a long history of being state champions and had managed 5th place in the 2016 Las Vegas Invitational High School Women's Open 7s.

This year the girls played three games on Friday 2nd and won all three, sending them through to the quarter finals, which they won. They were unfortunately beaten in the semi finals.

The team they were to play for the 3rd/4th final forfeited due to injury and they finished up in 3rd place. A great effort considering they had played strong teams from around Nth America including British Columbia, Alaska and California.
