Pink Shirt Day 2021

By Erica Ward | Posted: Wednesday May 12, 2021

Join us on Friday 21 May, 2021 as we Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!

Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting kindness and inclusiveness.

It’s about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or cultural background.

We want all students at Kavanagh College to feel safe and accepted for who they are in their school environment.

In order to celebrate Pink Shirt day, we are having a Mufti Day on Friday 21st May. You can support this by wearing any item of Pink clothing. We will also be collecting a gold coin donation from students to go towards the Mental Health Foundation and Alphabet Soup Dunedin.
