Otago Secondary School Swimming Champs a Success for Kavanagh Students

Congratulations to the swimmers who proudly represented us in the Otago secondary school swimming sports at the weekend at Moana Pool.

Meg Christophers competed in the 15&over competition; she gained 1st in 50m free style, 1st in 100m individual medley, 1st in 50m butterfly, 1st in 100m butterfly, 2nd in 50m breast stroke and 1st in 200m individual medley

Emma Christophers competed in the 15&over competition; she achieved 6th in 50m freestyle and 2nd in 50m backstroke

Hayley Roding competed in 14& under competition; 8th in 50m freestyle, 3rd in100m breast stroke, 5th in 50m breast stroke, 7th in 50m backstroke and 4th in100m freestyle

Hayley and Meg both achieved PB’s.

Also congratulations to Erika Fairweather who competed in the national qualification met where she won the 200m freestyle. We wish her well as she heads to the Olympics in July.
