Year 12 Biology students attend Field Trip at St Kilda
Year 12 Biology students took to the beach last Thursday to collect data for an Internal Achievement Standard on the distribution of plant species on a coastal dune.
They made use of a quadrat to sample the species found along a transect line while recording abiotic measurements that may explain how and why some plants are found in some areas and not others.
Students were lucky to have an absolutely stunning autumn day to collect their measurements and staff found it to be a lovely day at the office!
