Swimmers compete well at Otago Champs

Otago Secondary Schools’ Swimming Championship

Last Sunday six Kavanagh College students took part in the Otago Secondary Schools’ Swimming Championship held at Moana Pool. All swimmers performed well, gaining top three positions. The girls relay team came third in the 200 medley relay against older opposition.

Individual Results were:

· Erika Fairweather - first in the 14 and under 100m Backstroke and 100m Medley.  Second in the 100m Breaststroke.

· Meg Christophers - first in the 14 and under 50m Butterfly.  Second in the 200m Breaststroke and 50m Breaststroke.  Third in the 100m Breaststroke.

· Holly Trainor-Uluakiola - first in the 15 and over 50m Breaststroke.  Second in the 100m Breaststroke and 100m Medley.

· Emma Christophers - first in the 14 and under 200m Backstroke. Second in the 100m Backstroke and 50m Backstroke.

· Caitlin Reilly - third in the 14 under 200m Freestyle.

· William Christophers - third in the 15 and over 50m Breaststroke.
