Elijah - Year 10 was invited to showcase his work for the first time at the The Dunedin Art Show at the Edgar Centre last weekend.
Elijah draws his inspiration from artists of the past, things going on around him, and issues of importance. He is also influenced heavily by Basquiat, with his use of the crown often featuring in his own work - as a way to pay homage, to reflect on greatness, and to strive for more.
His works were so popular that he sold three works at the show, and two since the show so Sales aside, Elijah enjoyed talking to people about his art and interacting with the other artists.
