OC18 talked this week about government within society, who should rule, how they should rule, and they discussed what laws were essential to the smooth running of their society.
President (elected) Jamie Garlick made a controversial decision that the first law should be regarding what sort of power should be used in OClia, with renewable sources narrowly defeating nuclear.
There was lively discussion on all issues, with policing and punishment taking up a big majority of the parliament's session time. Minister for Justice, Sarah Al-Balushi fielded all questions and debate with thought-provoking responses, while Speaker Molly Colbert kept everyone in order, making sure all voices were heard.
