Year 11 Physical Education Camp - Peel Forest

The two Year 11 PE classes participated in the Peel Forest Camp last week. The students did a day tramp on Wednesday in pretty miserable weather. It was cold and wet but the students just got on with it without fuss and positive attitudes got us through. On Thursday the students spent the day rafting down the Rangitata River in beautiful sunshine, and we were blessed with more beautiful weather on the Friday where students completed the High ropes course at Geraldine High School.
With daylight saving finished, it was dark early but the students enjoyed star gazing, playing cards and enjoying each other's company around the fire in the Eco-lodge. An amazing group of students to take away, and the camp was a huge success because of this. A big thank you to Graham Peters and David Sole for coming away with us.
