Pink Shirt Day

Friday, 19th May

In support of Pink Shirt Day students may wear pink mufti clothing.

Pink Shirt Day is an annual anti-bullying campaign that aims to promote kindness, empathy, and compassion in schools and communities. On Pink Shirt Day, this Friday, 19th May, Aotearoa as well as Trinity, will be transformed into a sea of māwhero/pink as we stand together to spread aroha, celebrate diversity and end bullying!

We want to encourage everyone to wear pink, and we are going to run a clothing/donation station with students who may have extra unwanted pink clothing that can be brought along to school. This will be located outside the counsellor's office before school and during pastoral time. Students can come along, donate or receive some clothing on the theme of pink for the day. Throughout the day seniors will be around handing out Pink Shirt Day positivity stickers to all!

There is also a canteen voucher up for grabs for the pinkest outfit spotted during Pink Shirt Day!

During interval time, there will be a chalk art competition running among the juniors and seniors outside the materials and technology classes behind the canteen. The theme is "How do we see kindness in our world?".

There will also be a photo booth running alongside the Chalk Competition during interval and lunchtime, and we hope to be able to display these photos around the school.

There will also be a station to decorate/stencil and colour tee shirts brought along on Friday, in the theme of Pink Shirt Day and how it applies to our students. This will also be located behind the canteen during interval and lunch.

Pink Shirt Day is all about recognising diversity in our community and making a difference to promote a culture of kindness here at Trinity!

There will be no donation necessary on Friday, all we ask is that everyone gets involved and is wearing pink!

Thank you for your support.
