Otago Secondary Schools' Music Festival - Monday 11th September

By Georgie Watts | Posted: Wednesday August 30, 2017

This festival of music from schools around the region is celebrating its 48th year this year.

The festival celebrates the music-making from schools across Otago, with combined orchestra, choir, wind band, jazz band, and string orchestra made up of hundreds of music students.

The festival is held in the Dunedin Town Hall and in addition to the combined groups, we  celebrate the best rock groups, chamber groups, and individual choirs from our Dunedin schools.

Kavanagh choristers and musicians will take part again this year and should have filled out the registration form HERE.  They will be involved in a practice during the day on 11th September at the town hall.  The evening performance will begin at 6.30pm and is open to friends and family of our young musicians.

For the second year in a row the evening concert is free!

If there are  any queries about the festival, then please get in touch with Ms Watts.
