Luge Success

Hunter Burke returned to school with a cool holiday story

He swapped a New Zealand summer for a winter in Europe where he spent two months training and racing on his luge junior world cup circuit. It was a great opportunity for him to train and race consistently at a high level on top courses around Europe.

Illness had limited Hunter to two races, although he still clocked a best finish of 36th in Winterburg, Germany.

His next goal is to qualify for January's Youth Winter Olympics at the end of this year.
