Senior Boys Basketball Tournament

Our Senior Boys Basketball team enjoyed the opportunity to compete in the Northern Cup tournament in Auckland during the recent New Zealand Secondary Schools tournament week.
The team jumped at an opportunity to compete in the Northern Cup in Auckland, rather than the South Island Qualifying tournament in Dunedin.
The team consisted of Olly Pali, Michael Cordtz, Nathaniel Peacock, Jacob Koopman, Rick Ma, Cassius Marunui, Ivan Graham, Ambrose Lee, Jack Kubala, Kenny Pestano and Justin Clado and were accompanied by coach Grant Roydhouse and managers Jane and Ivan Pali.
The team played some great basketball during the tournament, developed and improved considerably, and came away with an even number of wins and losses. It was a great tournament experience and an excellent way to end the season.
Traveling to Auckland and experiencing some of the big city sights was a huge bonus. A sincere thanks to Grant, Jane and Ivan for their time and effort, and well done to the boys for equipping themselves so well at the tournament and representing Kavanagh to a high standard.
