There is a mufti day this Friday 9th August for the Nano Nagle Trust. They are holding a Nationwide mufti day and we are participating.

There will be students around at tutor time to collect the money. Here is some information about the Nano Nagle Trust.

Nano Nagle Charitable Trust have invited all Catholic Schools to participate in a national mufti day. We will be participating in this event this Friday 9th August. We are asking students to wear mufti on Friday and to bring a gold coin to donate toward the Nano Nagle Trust. All funds raised will be used by the trust to directly assist children unable to attend a Catholic school because of financial hardship.

The Trust was formed in 2009 by the Presentation Sisters and Friends of Nano as a Jubilee initiative. This initiative continues the work of Venerable Nano Nagle, who worked hard in Ireland to set up schools to ensure children received an education.

The Trust is a registered NZ trust and is dependent on donations. Every cent goes towards providing support for children unable to attend Catholic schools because of financial hardship thereby enabling a Catholic education. Children have been assisted throughout New Zealand with attendance dues, stationery and uniform costs.
