If a student is unwell and cannot attend school, parents are asked to phone the College office by 8.50am.
Class attendance rolls are taken every period and unexplained absences are communicated to parents smartly. If a student continues to be absent please keep in contact.
If there is a genuine reason to be away from school a note should be provided to the tutor teacher and the College office should also be advised via the answer phone. This may seem a little cumbersome but as all subject teachers are required to notify absentees to the office it is important that they have the central record so unnecessary concern is not raised.
If students have appointments during the school day they are required to sign out and back into the College office.
