On Monday we ventured south to Gore to take on Southland Boys in the Milo Cup

Kavanagh won the toss and decided to bowl and started well with the ball. Levi Simpson was the star of the show taking six wickets and a run out. Joe Peters was also impressive with his leg spin bowling, getting some good bounce and good accuracy. Sam Marslin also bowled with good control. Kavanagh restricted SBHS to 100 off their 20 overs. In reply Kavanagh needed five runs an over from the start and unfortunately lost wickets regularly. Daniel Thompson top scored with 29 and eventually we were all out 30 runs short.

I must also add that this group of cricketer's were very competitive and the future looks bright for boys cricket at the college going forward.

Thanks to Paul Thompson who came down and scored for us.
