Bishop Shield 2021

Twenty one students from Kavanagh College travelled to St Kevin's College in Oamaru last weekend to compete in the 77th Annual Bishop Shield competition.
The students presented some amazing speeches, debates and drama presentations based on scriptural themes.
Sarah Al-Balushi took out 1st place with her Prepared Speech on 'who is my neighbour?', Manaia Barns took out 1st place in the Scripture Section on his understanding of John Chapter 4 and the Junior drama team were placed 2nd with their drama presentation based on the parable of 'The Lost Coin'.
Special thanks to Kate Nicholson, Adrienne Buckingham, Lynley Harris, Emily Kerr-Bell and Sr Jan Ogilvy for coaching and mentoring students in their sections.
Well done to all students who competed and bring on next year's competition!
