Open Day 2022

I think all our hearts sank as we saw the weather go from bad to worse on Sunday morning prior to our Open Day at noon!

However, we were thrilled with the number of people who attended. This was our biggest group to visit Kavanagh for Open Day in many years. It was definitely standing room only in the auditorium. I wish to thank the staff and students who gave up their Sunday to welcome and talk with prospective students and their whānau about their curriculum area and the various co-curricular and support activities we offer. I think a school is in good heart when so many of our young people offer to support their school on a Sunday afternoon and ensure that they come with their best manners and perfect uniforms showing pride in ‘their place’. Thank you also to those members of the PFA that continue to offer hospitality in a very practical way.

I know many of you may have spoken to others in the community about Kavanagh and encouraged some to come along to have a look around. Our applications close on the 19th August – the agreed date for all the secondary schools in Dunedin. If you know someone who is interested in enrolling, please share the word about the closing date.
