Year 10 Adventure Camp 2022

On Monday 28th November, 25 eager year 10 students travelled to Alexandra for a week of fun activities
We arrived at the Alexandra Holiday Park around lunch time and quickly settled into our accomodation. In the afternoon we went over to the Goldfields Mining Centre for a history lesson on gold mining in the area, we also got to have a go at gold panning ourselves, which was fun.
On Tuesday we headed over to Bannockburn for some kayaking and abseiling run by Adventure Southland. The students really got out of their comfort zones and enjoyed the day. On the Wednesday we were the first school to visit the Kiwi Water Park for the new summer. Although cold, the students had a ball trying out the new slides. We also visited the Alexandra Museum and a few students walked to the famous clock in Alexandra.
A great four days away for the students which I hope will bring many fond memories. A huge Thanks to Ms Bone and Ms Cooney for their help on camp .
