AROHANUI - WITH LOVE FROM Ōtepoti

By Harriet Moir | Posted: Wednesday March 8, 2023

Witnessing the devastation of cyclone affected parts of the North Island from a distance and desperately wanting to make some kind of meaningful contribution, local entertainer, comedian and personality Harriet Moir has joined forces with a group of local legends to put together a Cyclone Gabrielle Variety Show Fundraiser at The Mayfair Theatre on March 12 at 7pm.

The group has set an ambitious goal of raising $20,000k with all proceeds going to the New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

The lineup includes some of Dunedin’s finest entertainers and promises to be a night to remember.

Dunedinites are encouraged to grab a ticket (or ten) and join Harriet Moir and Charlotte McKay to be treated to a night of exceptional local talent from the sensation DKCM’s Rock Tenors, popular bands Tahu & the Takahes, Emily Alice and Black-Sale House, experienced magician Jonathan Usher, rising comedy star Tama Anthony Wigham, comedy duo Agony Pants and solo artist Alan Ned Gray.

The show is made possible by the generosity of The Mayfair Theatre Charitable Trust donating the theatre for the event, our other incredible sponsors and the performers who are all donating their time and talents. .

The name - Arohanui - with love from Ōtepoti - was inspired with permission by the Christchurch event of the same name because it encapsulates the purpose just perfectly. Sharing and showing aroha from all over Aotearoa for our fellow kiwis who are really doing it tough right now.

Ticket prices start from $25 but there are a range of ticket prices available. All we ask is that people pay whichever ticket price they can right now and all ticket purchases are gratefully received and really appreciated.

Tickets are available from - https://www.theatretickets.co.nz/ and the Facebook event link is here
